Meet Alicia

Senior Friends was founded by Alicia Stephenson, who has dedicated her career to supporting older people and their families.

Throughout her career, she has held several roles — including Diversional Therapist, Care Staff Support, and Physiotherapy Assistant — all focused on improving the wellbeing and quality of life for older adults.

Through these experiences, Alicia saw the growing need for more personalised, one-on-one care, leisure activities and emotional support for seniors and their families.

She recognised the need for private support for Families with loved ones in care homes (Rest home and dementia care) and  how important it is for people to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.

That vision inspired the creation of Senior Friends — a service that provides genuine care, companionship, gentle assistance, peace of mind for families, a senior friend. Every visit is built on trust, respect, and kindness — values at the heart of everything we do.

Roxy - Therapy Dog

Meet Roxy, our friendly therapy dog and cherished member of the Senior Friends team. With her gentle nature and loving personality, Roxy has a special gift for lifting spirits and bringing comfort. She adores pats, cuddles, and simply being by someone’s side — brightening the day for those who may not get many visitors. Whether it’s sharing a quiet moment or a happy tail wag, Roxy brings warmth, calm, and companionship wherever she goes.

Some of the friendly faces on our team!
